Bridal shower fun

April 28, 2009

My friend Chelsey is getting married at the end of May and when I attended the bridal shower, of course the camera came along.  I enjoyed taking some details shots for her to remember the day.   Here is several from that afternoon.

You can click on images to enlarge.

April: Nice! I love doing detail shots too. The two flower shots are standout. Also, my lil sis spells her name with an "ey" at the end instead of the traditional "ea" just like your friend. Neat:)

I just love her little boots.  Most people know I prefer black and white images.  I just had to post this one for her Mommy & Daddy to see.

Jayne Allen: This turned out so cute!! I mean, naked baby in cowboy boots...how can you go wrong with that setup...but it takes an artist to capture the perfect image...great job Mo!!

She is such a little cutie patootie.  Still a tiny peanut.  Seven months old and just about 15 pounds.

Just one pic for now.

Love love love this hat!

Bobby Dean: oh hi baby, what big eyes you have, you sure are pretty

Janice Engle: What a Beautiful Baby Girl!

Jayne: Thanks Mo!! My little princess looks adorable (not that I'm biased at all). I can't wait to see the rest of the proofs!!

Erin Nichols: OMG!!! she looks like she should be on Anne Geddes Calendar/posters.

Mom: all together now..........AWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!

Jane Eaton Hamilton: Ohhh, she's so lovely. What a grea capture.

I have been so excited to do this session with Samantha.  You have seen Samantha before on my blog.  I am so honored to have her as a spokesmodel for me this year.  Tonight was a mini session.  The weather had been so beautiful the past several days, but tonight it was windy and chilly.  She was a trooper and we have some awesome shots.  Her full session will take place in July or August when braces come off. :-D    I also have some images of her and a girlfriend she brought along that hopefully I can post on the blog later.

Samantha, thank you for braving the cold and to Wendy for not letting my softbox fly away.

Dear friends of mine are getting married in Las Vegas this weekend.  We met Sunday (during the odd heatwave) at Capitola Beach where it was 91 degrees.  Thankfully some of the beachgoers started to vacate the beach for us Sunday evening so we could get their portraits done.  Angela looked so beautiful and so at peace.  And  Kevin is a wonderful man and you can the adoration he has for Angela when he looks at her.  I was very excited to be the one to capture their love.

I wish you all the happiness in the world.  Have a wonderful wedding and have fun in Las Vegas.

One last one of my niece. This was taken especially for her dad, who used to haul Del Monte products. :) I still can’t believe she’s graduating.

2010 seniors will be starting soon. Watch for a special offer announcement.

Mom: that is so awesome!! it does my heart good to have that memory of Dad and I trucking those Del Monte cans around for years!!! and now she sits by an old crate. *sigh*

Bobby Dean: Wow, my youngrest grandchild is graduating from higfh school. Where has the time gone. Dakota, you are becoming a beautiful young woman. Love the cowboy hat and the dog, of course

Storyboards are a big seller.  Especially 10×20″ storyboards.  This year I am introducing another mounting option.  This is a little less expensive and very lightweight.  Most storyboards are mounted on a wood called a Gallery Mount that is ready to hang.  Clients just love them.  They are substantially and beautiful.  Let me introduce the new 3/4″ standouts.

Standouts are sleek and elegant, but surprisingly simple. Intended to go right onto a wall without a frame.  These lightweight boards have a heavy appearance, but are actually made of a lightweight, stiff foam core with a wood colored panel as backing. The sides of the boards are fully protected by black textured paneling, giving your images a fully-finished and sealed look. The back panels contain pre-drilled holes making them easy to hang on simple nails or screws.

I have been an aunt since I was 7, yes, SEVEN.  I have three older sisters and there is a 10 year gap between myself and my next older sister.  I *love* my family.  I *love* being an aunt.  This is my oldest sister’s daughter, the youngest of my 6 nephews and 2 nieces.  (feeling old ;-\)  I was so excited to find out Dakota’s coach could let us into the pool, since she swims and does polo.  I saw an image similar to this by a fellow photographer and knew at some point I’d find the perfect person for it.  I’m even more happy it was my family who helped me achieve it.

So, here is my sneak peek for Dakota.

Mom: That's my kid!!! i can't believe how gorgeous she is. What a fun day we had. (Mo let me assist) I am so proud. :o) Not to mention my amazingly beautiful sister, and so talented with the camera. >muah<

Peri Partington-Judge: WOW! Not much more to say!!!! I remember jumping on my bed w/ Dakota when she was 8. And looking for the little green guy down at the lake. (only Dakota and I know what that means) And of course....when her wish was to go to Disneyland..it was my honor to have made it come true. I love you chickie! And you have always been such a beautiful soul and you are now a beautiful young lady. I know...that's all "girly" but hey...beauty is beauty. Love...Peri

melissa: I love the 3rd image with her dog...I'm a sucker for a dog picture, and she looks so relaxed and comfortable! Great job Mo!

wendy: I really love the "I dare you" eyes coming out of the pool. You and your niece must have had a lot of fun!

Most who know me know that I travel up to the Bay Area for my court reporting job.  This weekend I stayed up there to do two special sessions this past weekend, this engagement shoot for some friends and also my niece’s senior shoot.

This is a session I have been really looking forward to.  This is actually part I, their engagement session.  part II will be coming soon, their wedding session.  This is the B family.  I work with Angela at my reporting job, but she’s also become a very dear friend and Kevin is a wonderful guy.  They welcomed me into their home to capture images of little Ava when she was born and now I have been able to shoot their engagement images.   They are both so caring and loving and I am lucky to call them my friends.  I cannot wait to meet at the beach for their wedding images.

I couldn’t just pick a couple, since we had a ton of variety.  So here are some faves.
