2011 Grads

Class of 2011 Seniors – a little FAQs
Hopefully this section will answer most of the general questions you have about your senior session. If not, just drop me an email or call the studio.

How long will my session last?  Usually it’s a couple hours. It depends on how many clothing changes and the locations we shoot at. I like to give you a wide variety of proofs to choose from.  Sessions range from 45 minutes to 2.5 hours or when we run out of sunlight.

What does the session fee pay for? The session fee of $500 pays for my time to shoot your session on location at a couple different locations, the time it takes for me to produce your proofs, and gives you a $300 print credit.  Initial payment of $200 is due upon booking, $300 is due at session

Is there a minimum order? Yes.   Seniors minimum purchase is $300, plus your session fee of $200 ($500 total).

Where do you recommend we do my photos? I love to shoot urban style for a portion of the session. Downtown and in alleyways are great locations. I usually just wander around the streets and shoot as we go. We can also shoot at a winery, a hotel, a park, your home, family ranch, a junkyard, your high school, the stables where you keep your horse. I mean, the options are endless. I shoot at some places where you wouldn’t think you’d get good photos, but roll with me, we’ll have fun, and you’ll love your photos.

Can I bring along a friend or two? What about my dog? Sure. Bring along a friend or two or a sister and we can include them in a few shots during the session. This is not the time to do a family photo session, though. If you bring along a pet, please make sure you bring somebody to take care of it when it is not in the photos with you. We can even arrange to do part of your session with your horse.

What should I wear, how many changes of clothes? What accessories do you recommend?

For the guys – bring jeans, pants, shorts, a fun T-shirt with some holy jeans, a dress shirt or two, tank top. Flip flops, dress shoes, tennis shoes, a letterman jacket. I’d also suggest your gear for any sports you participate in – balls, jersey, cleats, bat, guitar, etc. Bring some sunglasses if you wear them and some hats & jackets too. Love your iPOD, bring it along too.

For the girls– l recommend lots. Girls, bring lots of different items, 5 or 6 complete outfits. I’ll help you decide what to wear, what to change into, what accessories to wear with what outfit. Shoes – bring several different pairs, flats, heels, flip flops, Converse, ballet shoes – but we’ll also do some barefoot shots.. Accessories, oh boy. I love scarves, hats, sunglasses, purses, umbrellas, iPODs, cell phones. If you play an instrument, bring it along too. Are you a book reader? Bring along some of your favorite hardbound books. If you play sports, bring along your gear for some shots in that. I always recommend girls to wear a little cami tanktop for changing on location.

Will you fix a pimple or a blemish in my skin? Of course. I always do minor retouching on your proofs to fix any small blemishes in your skin. Anything in addition is done for $25 per image (paid in advance).

May I swap things out in a certain senior package?I don’t necessarily allow swapping of items in collections but you can upgrade an item. And with the purchase of a senior package, you do get an extra percentage off additional a’ la carte items you purchase. If a senior package doesn’t suit your needs, you can purchase items a’ la carte.

Do I get the digital photos too? New for 2010, I do offer digital collections and the option to buy individual digital negatives (both color and black & white). I also give you digi-pix, small watermarked images for use on Facebook, MySpace, blogs and digital photo frames.
