Meet Little Miss Malia {Newborn Photographer San Luis Obispo}

Malia came a few weeks earlier with tons of hair and her parents are so in love with her. At just two weeks, she had already hit that “stretching” phase and didn’t want to be curled up. We got a few winks of sleep from her, though. Her room was the cutest, decorated in Japanese parasols and paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. I look forward to watching her grow this first year.

Been waiting for this little girl to arrive for several months. Here was her first debut in mommy’s tummy (although you can hardly tell) at their family photo session. This is such a sweetie pie who has two older brothers who adore her. All in all, Mia was an easy newborn to photograph. Once she was asleep, she was pretty easy to move around, in between her bouts of hiccups.

now, this image is a belly cast that was done on the day Mom went into labor. I wanted to have snuggled her in a bit more, but this was at the very end of the session and not long after this shot she let us know she was done with lots of crying.

Oh the joys of newborns. This little girl is a little older, so curling wasn’t happening for me. But let me tell you, this little girl has such beautiful skin, no baby acne, no blotchy skin, just beautiful baby skin. Her parents are so in love with her.

Newborn – Cash [Paso Robles Photographer]

Oh, how I love his name, Cash. He has some proud parents. I was so tickled when dad came home on lunch and coo’d and snuggled with his boy. Cash has been the strongest newborn I have come across. At one point as I tried to swaddle him in my super soft stretchy fabric, he pushed his legs so hard he scooted away from me. He’s definitely going to be a little tough boy. And I’m sure his dog Sketch will be following him around all over when he starts walking. Anyhow, I am wanting to get into some more of a lifestyle theme of work with lots of black and whites. And in the time that dad was holding Cash, I have a capture that melted me. I love how you slightly have dad’s hair in the image and those boots blurred at the ground. I just love everything about it.

Meet Baby Clayton. He has the most gorgeous head of hair and big full eyes that were always wide open. He was an alert little guy. Didn’t want to sleep, even at two sessions. His mommy and daddy are so super nice. At the first session I had an equipment malfunction and so I had to return a week later. Thank you again for your time and the wonderful time visiting.

Oh how I am loving all these newborns. Today was another wonderful little bundle of joy. The photographer the family has used for many years has moved back to Australia, so I was honored she called me. Josie was so good for me. And wow, the hair. I’ve had lots of newborns with full heads of hair. Mommy was so nice. Really enjoyed visiting with you today.

Isn’t she beautiful?

I do love black and white images, but I wanted to show this in color. I know it has blues and I use wraps for texture, but the purple still says girly to me.

Isn’t little baby Jack cute? He was a snoozer – of course, sometimes I had to help him get back to snoozing, but he was a happy boy. He made some adorable faces, like this first little grin. He truly is a blessing to his mommy & daddy.

Meet 10 day old Coppelia. I could not believe the amount of hair she had. Well, I shouldn’t be surprised, as Mommy has tons of thick dark hair. She was such a good little girl, sleeping off and on for me during the session.
