Calling Class of 2011!

Hey, Juniors - Class of 2011, I know you’re already envisioning your senior portraits and where you’re going to take them, what you’re going to wear, how you’ll do your hair, and the list goes on.  Well, I am also thinking about the busy senior season that is fast approaching.  So to those who book early, you can get a special gift from Monyeen Black Photography.  Book a senior session to take place before July 1 and get some goodies.  Want some extra wallets?  How about 4 sets of wallets (sets of 8, up to 4 poses = 32 wallets)?!  Sound good?  Yeah, I thought you’d think it was a good offer.  That is valued at $140.00!  Yes, you read that right, $140.00!!   How do you take advantage of the offer?  You will need to book a senior session to take place BEFORE June 30, 2010.  All session fees need to be paid in advance to hold your date.  For more information or to book your session, drop me an email.

This is even good for 2010 seniors who haven’t had their senior portraits taken.  Still want photos taken to send out custom graduation announcements?  Take advantage of this sale.  There is still time to book.

fine print:  Wallets have no monetary value.  No substitutions allowed.  Session fee and minimum print requirement must be met, in order to take advantage of this offer.  This offer is ONLY valid for seniors in the class of 2010 and 2011.

Fall is coming. I started this session and the sun fell fast. I was getting worried I wouldn’t have enough light. But the light I had was fabulous. :) Maggie, you are the cutest thing. I so enjoyed visiting with you and your mom. I could have just chit-chatted all evening with you. Enjoy your sneak peek. Be in touch next week.

    Carrie: Great photos!

This session I really enjoyed.  It was just Hope and I at her photo session and we had a great time. The session started off shopping - ha!  She had a dress on hold and wanted my opinion on it. ADORABLE! We started for some urban shots in Paso, then headed over to her grandparents house at the end of the session. You are so sweet and very beautiful.

and we ended with some dramatic lighting.

Cyndee Wanyonyi: Love your off-camera flash action going on in the last shot! Beautiful!!!

Meet Miss Nathali. She was up for my suggestion of doing a little urban downtown and then heading out to a quiet country road for some shots. She also brought along an easel and her paintbrushes and we set it up right there along the road.  Loved all her jewelry & accessories.  Thanks for bearing the chilly weather.  Fall is on the way - yay.

Mindy: Mo- your work is always stunning! Gorgeous!!

I had been looking forward to this session since Brittany first contacted me and said she’d like to have shots with her horse too.  I needed to find the perfect spot and just wasn’t liking anything, until I thought of the little teeny tiny town of Creston - yeah, that place that has 2 paved roads, the other 3 roads are dirt.  So, meet Brittany and her horse Jack.  ps:  she has some great taste in jewelry and accessories too!

    Enjoy.

We met later in the evening at Hunter Ranch Golf Course.  It was nice and quiet and nobody was around, well, a couple men who would walk by and ask what we were doing and if we needed some handsome men to pose with the beauty I was photographing.  ;)   Laughter. Yep, we laughed and laughed. Kiersten has the best personality. I had such a great time with her and her mother. Both are so kind and easy-going.  I love, love, love that she switched up here hair style.  not just once, but several times.

Seriously, had a blast. Thanks for being so fun… and beautiful.  Enjoy your sneak peek. It is a bigger share, because I was wanting to show off some of what Hunter Ranch Golf Course has to offer.

  • Michelle Kane: Your gentle use of texture on the last two is divine•••

Cyndee: Oh Mo! She is so beautiful - you've captured her so well. I really love the texture use on the last one...love the perspective as well. Great job!

heather s: wow, she is going to love these! so pretty! love them all, love the processing!

Desiree Hayes: Beautiful shots. She's adorable, love her curls!

I first photographed Taylor with her family a couple years ago.  It was great to photograph her again this time for her senior portraits.  We met up in San Miguel at the mission for her session.  You were a good sport, since the breezy conditions like to mess up your bangs. ;-)

    Tiny Sneak Peek…..

    August 24, 2009

Oh how I love this family.  And when the 4 girlies unloaded out of the car this evening, I knew we would laugh all evening.  I had so much fun tonight.  We shot for about 3 hours.  I just did my thing and the girls gave me the beauty.   Such a joy photographing Samantha and Vanessa, spending time with Wendy and meeting Lynnea

We found old tires, barbed wire, chain link, white fences, red roll-up doors, awesome wood, the Botz dots of the roadway, lonely mailboxes - fun fun fun…. and as I was shooting and the girls were posing, Wendy was scavenger hunting the grounds finding interesting things, like rusty little fortunes that she’ll put to use later.  :)

There was no way I could leave to go out of town for a couple days and not put up this image….  Love you girls.

many more to come when I return home…

for now, Samantha and Vanessa, have a great day back to school tomorrow. :)
